On 27 April, Regent Secondary School conducted a teacher-led Gratitude lesson aimed at helping students recognise and appreciate the vital role their family members play in their daily lives.
As part of the lesson, students expressed their gratitude in meaningful ways. Some penned heartfelt thank-you messages, giving voice to sentiments they may not often share. Others chose to show appreciation through actions, such as assisting with household chores like cleaning and laundry, or preparing a simple meal for their loved ones. These small but thoughtful gestures provided valuable opportunities for students to demonstrate care in practical ways while strengthening family bonds.
The session concluded with a Family Time Bingo activity, encouraging students to complete a series of meaningful tasks with their family members over the June holidays. This initiative serves as a reminder of the importance of setting aside quality time for family despite busy schedules, and reinforces the idea that appreciation can be expressed not only through words, but also through consistent, thoughtful actions.
