In March, our Secondary Three students embarked on a transformative journey at the three-day Applied Learning Module, 'Start Your Business Now', meticulously organised by Republic Polytechnic. This initiative offered our students a tantalizing glimpse into polytechnic life while immersing them in the dynamic world of entrepreneurship.
Throughout the workshop, our students were captivated by a diverse array of activities designed to cultivate their entrepreneurial spirit and equip them with practical skills essential for navigating the business landscape.
The first day of the workshop was dedicated to honing research acumen. Our students delved deep into contemporary business trends, meticulously identifying potential challenges and brainstorming innovative solutions. Furthermore, they were introduced to the intricacies of marketing strategies and enlightened on the importance of financial planning, laying a robust foundation for their entrepreneurial aspirations.
Day Two witnessed a deeper dive into the realm of e-commerce, as students engaged in hands-on activities aimed at fostering a comprehensive understanding of this burgeoning industry. Additionally, they embarked on crafting meticulous business plans, meticulously outlining strategies to translate their visions into reality. The highlight of the day was the opportunity for students to unleash their creativity by designing tote bags, infusing a tangible element of innovation into their learning journey.
On the final day, our students took center stage to present their meticulously crafted business plans. With poise and confidence, they showcased their products, elucidated on strategic marketing approaches, and presented compelling financial projections. This culminating pitch presentation not only served as a testament to their newfound knowledge but also instilled a profound sense of confidence in their entrepreneurial capabilities.
Undoubtedly, the Applied Learning Module proved to be a transformative experience, broadening the academic horizons of our students and arming them with invaluable skills vital for success in the realm of business.
