National Day Commemoration 2026
Regent Secondary School celebrated Singapore’s 61st National Day on 7 August with the theme “Majulah Singapura! Go Beyond!”. Students and staff enjoyed performances, games and activities while celebrating Singapore’s multicultural heritage. The celebration encouraged students to appreciate our nation’s journey, embrace resilience and unity, and reflect on how they can contribute through kindness, responsibility and service to build a caring Singapore.
The spirit of patriotism came alive as Regent Secondary School gathered to commemorate Singapore’s 61st National Day. Centred on this year’s theme - ‘Majulah Singapura! Go Beyond!’, the celebration reminded us that Singapore’s continued success is built on the collective efforts of every individual, and that each of us has a part to play in shaping our nation’s future.
On 7 August, the Regent family came together for a vibrant celebration filled with inspiring performances, engaging games and meaningful activities. Dressed in red, students and staff transformed the school into a sea of national colours, creating an atmosphere filled with pride, joy and excitement. Through the various activities, the students also celebrated Singapore’s rich multicultural heritage and the shared values that unite us as one people.
The celebration provided students with opportunities to reflect on Singapore’s remarkable journey over the past six decades. Through classroom activities and shared experiences, they gained a deeper appreciation of the resilience, determination and unity that have enabled our nation to overcome challenges and thrive. More importantly, the students were encouraged to consider how they could contribute to Singapore’s future through everyday acts of responsibility, kindness and service.
As the celebrations unfolded, students were reminded that National Day is more than a commemoration of Singapore’s independence. It is also an opportunity to look ahead and consider the kind of Singapore we hope to build together. With the courage to dream, the determination to overcome challenges and a willingness to care for others, every Regenite can play a part in making a positive difference to our school, community and country.
As Regent Secondary School celebrates Singapore’s 61st year of independence, we reaffirm our commitment to nurturing active citizens who are rooted in strong values, embrace diversity and are ready to go beyond for the greater good. Together, let us continue to build a caring, resilient and united Singapore.
With one heart and one voice, we proudly wish Singapore a Happy 61st Birthday!
Majulah Singapura! Go Beyond!
