Integration Programme 2026
Integration Programme 2026: Building Connections Across Cultures
On 5 March 2026, Regent Secondary School organised an integration programme aimed at fostering connection, collaboration and a strong sense of belonging among students from diverse cultural backgrounds. The programme brought together international and local students through a series of engaging and meaningful activities.
The day began with icebreaker activities that created a welcoming and inclusive environment. Through games such as BINGO and small group sharing, students interacted in a relaxed setting which eased the initial awkwardness and built rapport among participants. These early interactions laid the foundation for open communication and mutual respect.
Building on this growing sense of connection, students had the opportunity to bond over a selection of local food. This informal segment encouraged conversations as students shared personal stories and cultural experiences while enjoying familiar dishes. It provided a meaningful platform for students to deepen their understanding of one another and appreciate diverse perspectives.
A key highlight of the programme was the Linocut printing activity where students explored creativity in a hands-on setting. Guided through the process of designing, carving and printing, students expressed themselves while developing patience and focus. Working alongside one another, they shared ideas, offered feedback and celebrated each other’s creations, fostering a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.
Overall, the integration programme combined interactive, cultural and creative elements to promote meaningful engagement between international and local students. Students left with stronger relationships, enhanced communication skills and a greater sense of community, making the programme both impactful and memorable.
