Safer Internet Day 2026: Empowering Students for a Better Digital Future
In celebration of Safer Internet Day on 10 February 2026, our school organised an engaging and meaningful sharing session aimed at promoting healthy, responsible digital habits among students. The event served as a timely reminder of the importance of cultivating a safe and positive online culture within our school community.
The session was led by our dedicated Cyberwellness Ambassadors, who took on the important role of advocating positive online behaviour and raising awareness about common digital risks. Through relatable real-life scenarios and interactive classroom discussions, the ambassadors encouraged their peers to reflect on their own online practices and make thoughtful choices in digital spaces.
Key topics covered during the session included practising respectful online etiquette, understanding the long-term impact of digital footprints, staying vigilant against cyber threats, and maintaining a healthy balance in screen time. Students were reminded of the importance of showing empathy and respect in online interactions, as well as the need to seek help from trusted adults when faced with harmful or uncomfortable situations on the internet.
The programme was strongly supported by our Form Teachers, who worked closely with the ambassadors to facilitate discussions and reinforce key messages. Their guidance helped foster a safe and supportive environment where students felt comfortable sharing their thoughts, asking questions, and learning from one another.
This collaborative effort between student leaders and teachers highlighted our shared responsibility in building a respectful and secure digital environment. Through peer-led advocacy and strong teacher support, students were equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to navigate the online world responsibly — truly embodying the spirit of Safer Internet Day’s theme: Together for a Better Internet.
