Let’s Be G R E E N!
As part of the Secondary One VIA Programme, this year’s “Let’s Be G.R.E.EN!” event focused on environmental wellness and sustainable living. Through a series of interactive booths organised by various CCAs and student groups, Secondary One students explored practical ways to care for the environment while gaining a deeper understanding of sustainability.
Students took part in activities such as an environmental word search challenge by the Environment Champions and upcycling workshops conducted by the Environmental Science Club, where they transformed used materials into creative crafts. The Design and Innovation (D&I) CCA showcased innovative uses of recyclable materials and promoted reusable tote bags as eco-friendly alternatives to plastic bags.
Other highlights included a carnival-style recycling game by the Boys’ Brigade, an educational booth by the Red Cross on the impact of vaping, and a nature photography showcase by the InfoComm Technology Club that encouraged appreciation of the natural world.
Through these engaging experiences, “Let’s Be G.R.E.EN!” aims to inspire students to adopt sustainable habits and become advocates for a greener future.
