Ray of Regent Semester 1: Celebrating Character in Action
On 18 May, Regent Secondary celebrated the Ray of Regent nominees for Semester 1, recognising students who have exemplified the school's core values of passion, respect, integrity, determination and empathy.
The Ray of Regent award affirms students whose actions have made a positive difference to those around them. Nominated by their peers and teachers, these students consistently demonstrate outstanding character through their everyday actions. Whether providing emotional and academic support to classmates, taking the initiative to maintain a conducive learning environment, displaying exceptional sportsmanship during competitions, or lending a helping hand to members of the public, they embody the values that define the Regent spirit.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement as nominees were recognised in front of their peers. Loud cheers and enthusiastic applause echoed through the hall as students received a certificate of recognition and a star plushie keychain. The celebration reflected the pride of the Regent community in acknowledging students who have led by example and made a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
More than a recognition of individual achievements, the award celebrates the impact that students can have on their school and wider community through acts of service, leadership and kindness. Congratulations to all our Ray of Regent nominees! May their actions continue to inspire fellow Regenites to serve, lead and transform with purpose and heart.
