Running As One Regent
Excitement and anticipation filled the air as students and staff gathered for Regent Secondary School’s Annual Cross Country Run. The 3.6 km route took participants on a scenic loop around the Pang Sua Park Connector, setting the stage for a morning of resilience, camaraderie and school spirit.
Despite the early hour, energy was high as students in brightly coloured class T-shirts gathered with friends, warming up with stretches and excited chatter. All eyes were on the runners in the Competitive Race categories. With podium finishes and Top 20 placements at stake, the races were closely contested as runners pushed themselves to achieve their personal best.
At the sound of the starting horn, participants surged forward, weaving through the park connector with determination. Along the way, students, teachers and peers in the Fun Run category encouraged one another as they jogged and brisk walked together, turning the experience into one of shared enjoyment and support.
Whether racing competitively or participating in the Fun Run, every student embodied resilience and perseverance. Cheers erupted at the finish line for every participant, reminding all that the event was about more than speed.
More than just a race, the Annual Cross Country Run brought the Regent community together, celebrating determination, friendship and the joy of running as one.
